InfiniteFocus is an optical 3D measurement device for quality assurance in the lab and in production.

The micro coordinate machine by Alicona is based on the technical principle of Focus-Variation and combines all functionalities of a coordinate measurement machine with those of surface measurement device. This means that form and roughness of components are measured with a vertical resolution of up to 10nm. Also when measuring complex shapes with steep flanks and smallest radii highest resolution is achieved. This allows the measurement of large measurement fields including Z-direction.

Also, InfiniteFocus is the only optical systemto provide measurement data perfectly registered
to surface color information and to measure surfaces with various reflection properties. Amongst other applications, the system is successfully used in tool making, micro system technology, dental implants manufacturing and forensics.
